Nature enthusiasts, teachers, ecologists can request a visit to Willowstreams by contacting the owners.

Firewood -- A limited supply of crabapple, black locust, maple, ash, and other woods are available. Please inquire early, as supply is unpredictable. The wood is sourced from storm-downed trees or recently culled non-native invasive trees.

A communal garden is managed and maintained by Martha Sharples and Nancy Holm. Interested gardeners may contact Grace Cooke about working with them to plant, grow, and harvest strawberries and vegetables.

A small apple orchard is being revived. Organically grown produce is available is season.

For reasons of safety, the property is not open to hunters. Hunting rights have been granted to a single bow hunter so as to responsibly manage over-browsing deer during hunting season. 

Willowstreams permits in-season fishing for fishermen with licenses acquired through the state. During fishing season, Darby and Ithan creeks are stocked by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

Trash - We ask fishermen to respect the land and to be sure to remove trash when leaving.

Pets - We love dogs, but Willowstreams is a sensitive ecosystem, not a dog park. Fishing season also coincides with birds' nesting season and many ground nesting birds make their homes in the grass. So that the birds may nest peacefully, we'd prefer dogs remain at home. If you do bring a dog, please keep it on a leash and remove dog waste.

Willowstreams partners with a local beekeeper who manages the property's apiary with organic methods and sells several hundred pounds of honey each year to individuals and companies (including the cocktail bar Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co. in downtown Philadelphia). 

Educational programming on ecology and land management methods is available through William Ryan.

Private nature tours highlighting the region's native plant species may be booked for a nominal fee. Public walks are scheduled on a monthly basis.

From time to time Willowstreams supports community events, subject to certain limitations.
